This Autumn I have run painting days at this wonderful location. The house alone would be subject enough, without the stunning scenery all around.
Painters have found sheltered spots around the garden or even down on the beach. The conservatory offers comfortable and cosy indoor painting with the same views.
Lucy and Robb provided delicious lunches and refreshments.

On a clear but chilly day in March this year Moira had a watercolour lesson while we planned the holiday at Farm Court. She is looking at Fort Raz, connected to the shore by a causeway that is cut off at high tide. It was built in the 19th Century as part of a massive fortification programme in which Alderney was seen as a vital part of Britain’s defence against Napoleon.
